Joint Seat Allocation Authority has started registrations for seat allocations in IITs, NITs, IIEST, IITS and other GFTIs (Govt Funded Technical Institutes). It is mandatory for the candidates to register through the official JoSAA 2023 online portal to be able to obtain seats to be allocated through JoSAA 2023 in any of these participating institutes.

Caution: No agency other than JoSAA 2023 is responsible for joint seat allocation to the seats at the IITs/NIT+System. Candidates seeking information / assistance from any agency / agent other than JoSAA 2023 shall be doing so at their own risk and cost.

Admission criteria

a) IITs: JEE Advanced 2023

b) All other participating institutes: JEE Main Paper I for BE/BTech and Paper II for BArch

a) IITs – Total 23

b) NITs – Total 31

c) IIEST – Total 1 (IIEST Shibpur)

d) IIITs – Total 26

e) Other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) – Total 38

Who can participate in JoSAA: Each and every candidate who satisfies one or more of the following criteria is eligible for participation in joint seat allocation:

(A) Criterion (i): Qualified in JEE (Advanced)-2023 for academic programs [excluding the preparatory courses] at IITs.

AND

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria as given in Annexure 2(a) in the brochure.

(B) Criterion(ii): Qualified in JEE (Advanced)-2021 for preparatory courses at IITs

AND

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria as given in Annexure 2(a) in the brochure.

(C) Criterion (iii): Secured a rank in JEE (Main)-2023 B.E./B.Tech. Paper for B.E./B.Tech. programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and Other-GFTIs

AND

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria as given in Annexure 2(b) in the brochure.

(D) Criterion (iv): Secured a rank in JEE (Main)-2023 B.Arch. Paper for B.Arch. programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and Other-GFTIs.

AND

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria as given in Annexure 2(b) in the brochure.

(E) Criterion (v): Secured a rank in JEE (Main)-2023 B.Planning Paper for B. Planning programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and Other-GFTIs.

AND

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria as given in Annexure 2(b) in the brochure.
